The full report

England winger Manny Feyi-Waboso is expected to recover from a hamstring injury in time for the Nations Championship Test against Australia on 8 November. Initial scans have not revealed any major damage, and Exeter's director of rugby, Rob Baxter, is hopeful that the 23-year-old will be back in action before too long.

Feyi-Waboso has scored nine tries for England since making his debut in the 2024 Six Nations, but has had to deal with a series of unfortunate injuries. He played in last season's Prem final with a plate in his jaw, but was still able to contribute a scintillating try in England's victory over Argentina in Santiago del Estero in July.

The injury management of Feyi-Waboso, as a centrally contracted England player, became a hot topic early last year when a proposed shoulder operation ended up being delayed and a subsequent recurrence sidelined the exciting wing for the rest of the season. Baxter is hoping for a much-improved outcome for all concerned this time.

Meanwhile, Ellis Genge and Courtney Lawes have called for the restriction on England picking overseas-based players to be lifted. The former England captains believe internationals who have accumulated a certain number of caps should be available for selection even if they are competing for clubs in France.

Feyi-Waboso has started every league game for Exeter this season, although he will be absent for Sunday's European Champions Cup trip to French champions Toulouse. He was a key part of all three of England's Nations Championship games over the summer and crossed for tries against Fiji and Argentina.

Exeter director of rugby Rob Baxter told BBC Sport that Feyi-Waboso's scan didn't show up too much, and that he's very good on testing. Baxter is hopeful that they can treat the symptoms he's showing and see where he gets to over the next week or so.
