The story
Sir Tom Jones has cancelled two of his upcoming concerts in the US due to illness, the singer announced on Instagram. The 86-year-old, who is currently on his Come Gather Round world tour, said he had been advised by doctors to reschedule his shows in Los Angeles and San Diego. The Los Angeles show has been moved to 4 November, while the San Diego concert will now take place at The Rady Shell, at Jacobs Park, on 3 November.
All tickets for the original dates will remain valid, but customers who are unable to attend the rescheduled dates are advised to contact their original point of purchase for a refund. Sir Tom Jones has had a successful music career spanning over six decades, with three UK number one singles and four chart-topping albums to his name. He has also received numerous awards, including a Grammy, two Brits, and an Ivor Novello, as well as a knighthood from the late Queen Elizabeth II in 2006 for his services to music.
The singer recently made headlines after revealing he had been 'fired' from The Voice UK coaching panel. However, Sir Tom Jones has not let his recent setbacks deter him, and he is looking forward to seeing his fans soon. He wrote on Instagram: 'I'm truly sorry for any inconvenience caused. I look forward to seeing you all soon.'
