The full report

Greg Lynn, a 60-year-old former airline pilot, has told the Victorian Supreme Court that he was attacked in prison, including being thrown a jug of poo and other 'disgusting material'.

According to Yahoo Australia, Mr Lynn shared details of two prison attacks during his bail application, which is set to take place in May next year. He is accused of murdering Carol Clay, 73, in March 2020.

The first attack occurred in 2024, when an inmate threw a milk jug full of faeces, bodily fluids, and other 'disgusting material' at Mr Lynn. He was forced to rinse under the shower for a long time to clean himself.

Mr Lynn was initially placed in solitary confinement and questioned by prison authorities about why he was not able to mix with other prisoners. He was told, 'You won't be safe down there. The prisoners will be queuing up because there's Greg Lynn from TV and they would seek notoriety.'

After the first attack, Mr Lynn was moved to another prison, where he initially found the environment 'quite pleasant'. However, tensions escalated over 'many months' before he was attacked again in July this year.

Mr Lynn has consistently maintained his innocence and is seeking bail ahead of his trial. He is expected to face trial over the alleged murder of Carol Clay next May.
